It is now started to really annoy me.
It isn't so much the companies themselves, although they are only making problems for themselves by promising something they simply can't deliver, no it is the so called review sites around that are annoying the hell out of me.
Why? Well in short they are a complete con. Does the information contained mean they aren't true? Not necessarily, sometimes they do recommend a very good paid surveys directory but this isn't down to their knowledge in the area or that they genuinely know what they are talking about. No it is simply fluke that they happened to pick a good site to promote.
And that is what these sites really are - a promotion. Have a look for content on their so called review site and 9 times out of ten ( if not more ) you will find nothing than the landing page. Also check for signs of any real knowledge and the chances are that you won't find that either.
Of course not all review sites are simply promoting peoples products for profit, some are genuinely trying to help you take the first step towards taking online surveys for money.
To help you to avoid the cons I've created a little checklist of things to look out for that will indicate you are on a sales page rather than a legitimate review site.
Claims that you can make thousands of dollars for little work.
- A one page site.
- Headlines like "90% of survey sites are a scam".
- Small reviews with no real information.
- Only a handful of sites reviewed ( 5 or under ).
- The immortal words " of all the sites I've tested there is only one that we would recommend.
Paid surveys are a legitimate easy way to make some extra cash but that is all the opportunity is - extra cash. Any review sites or articles telling you other wise are sadly complete and utter rubbish. The companies and directories themselves may do it but it's their business and it is what you would expect but when people look for reviews I believe it is only fair they receive good advice and not simply a sales pitch.
If you'd like to use this sites reviews check out the reviews page or the comparison table but if not that is fine and at least now you have the knowledge of which review sites you shouldn't be relying on to guide you towards online surveys for money.
