Established in 2003 Survey Scout is one of the longer running survey directories in existence so one thing you can be guaranteed of is that it is no fly by night firm but is it actually any good.
First the good news is that Survey Scout do offer a decent list of companies. Although no longer as good as it was a year ago because of the failure to fully maintain the list, Survey Scouts companies will still make you money if you give them a little time and establish yourself.
The site itself is also easy to navigate and users should have little problem finding what they are looking for. The customer support could be quicker to reply to problems but you will get informative replies once you receive them unlike others that see users as an inconvenience and fob them off with quick irrelevant answers answers.
The problem with Survey Scout is that it is rated as high risk by several browser software packages. This is mainly down to spam although in Survey Scouts defense I would say that I only received about 3 emails a week and although a little spammy didn't really cause any problems. However there are also several that claim to have suffered spyware/viruses from using Survey Scout.
The fact is Survey Scout offer a good, if not the best, list but there may be a risk involved. Personally I haven't had any problems but still there is obviously a safety issue somewhere with Survey Scout.
Would I recommend Survey Scout? Personally no, not just because of the safety issue but also because I feel sites like Express Paid Surveys are a better choice.
